Which Gibson Flying V to buy?

I'm 100% sure I want a Gibson flying V. I tested one out from a friend, and the experience was other-wordly. But, I don't know which one to buy. The one on their website is only sold buy one retailer and seems to have a non-existent demand.

I know that a lot of people think Flying Vs are uncomfortable to play while sitting, but I find it actually enhances mine. Anyways, I really want a GOOD QUALITY Gibson V but, I don't know which one.

I'm assuming the earlier ones used older / worse technology? If anyone can tell me which year/make is best or if the current one selling is the best would be great. Pls hlp :)

ugh...flying v's are so ugly.

you need a 1982 or earlier V; The ones after that were a bit on the cheap-o side.
