  1. if you are shooting 97-104 there is no need to go buy a $400 ish driver. what i would do is go but a clone driver of 1 of those u mentioned (they are in the 120.00 range) . You can work on your game and swing with new technology without killin you pocketbook and when you get better go ahead and buy 1 but until then i think you would be wasting your money at this time in your game.

  2. I'd suggest going to a "demo days" at a local course this spring.  Several of the top manufacturers will let you demo their newest models for free in the hopes that you'll buy one of their clubs.

If you do end up buying a new driver, I'd strongly suggest getting fitted for it by a golf pro.

  3. I would buy lessons a new driver wont make you any better it may give you a quick fix in confidence but in the long run you'll just be looking for a new driver to fix your game. Equipment has made the game easier but a sound swing will make it a h**l of a lot more consistant!

  4. I am sorry but the truth is with that handicap you should seek a few lessons before investing in one of the drivers you mentioned or you are going to get frustrated because you are not getting the desired result from the driver because your skills are not matching that equipment yet, we have all been there just shave some strokes of that average score and then reward yourself with some better equipment.

    Good Luck.
