Hi.

I am going to get a 19 inch HD ready TV, to play blu-ray on my PS3. Which HD cable should I get?

Comet sell them for about £45, and on amazon, you can get them for about £5. Is there a difference between any HD cables, or are they all the same?

  1. A question to all those saying there's no difference in the quality between a £5 cable and a £95 cable.

If there's no difference, why has there never been a prosecution under the Sale of Goods Act or Trade Descriptions Act? The reason is, there is a difference, buy the best you can afford, you will reap the rewards.

  2. Ray is right. Best buy employee, it's mostly hype. There are beter quality hdmi cables but unless your running it through your walls, just get a good 1.3a hdmi cable. The amazon one will do nicely. If you want to run in wall, get catagory 2 cables

  3. No they actually did a test on the gadget show, which shows the difference between a £10 cable and a £120 cable and there was no difference.

  4. They are all exactly the same, don't be conned into thinking that more expensive cables are better than cheaper ones. I nearly fell into this trap then I watched the Gadget Show and they did a test. Two HD TVs playing the same BluRay disc on the same player with a cheap HDMI cable (around £10) and a more expensive one (about £120). Guess what, the picture quality was identical. Theres your answer.

  5. ITS CALLLED HDMI CABLE, MAKE SURE THE TV HAS HDMI PLUG IN!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Well first off i wouldn't get a 19 inch tv for blu ray because i don't know of any that are 1080 nor do i think they are real. Anyway your tv is 720 or 480 so the best cables that you could get is a HDMI, monster is the best. But if you want to go cheap get component cables but then you need a pair of sound cables which will do fine for what you have.
