I'm trying to get a HDMI cable for my Tv for my PS3. It's and Olevia 27 inch TV. On the Tv it says HD Ready and also HDMI, and it has a HDMI port on the back. I bought a HDMI cable off stootsi.com but it was broke, so this time around, I wanna make sure I dont spend money on nothing, does it even matter which HDMi cable I buy?

  1. Don't overspend on an HDMI cable, they all do the same thing and most of them come from the same factories. A lower priced one will work just as well as a high-end high-priced cable.

I bought an HDMI cable from these guys: http://www.inspiretech.com/c-31-hdmi-cab...

Great prices and it worked well for my PS3 and HD Panasonic TV. Good luck

  2. If you're a hardcore gamer, I'd recommend buying a 10.2 gbps HDMI cable, it gives you a crisper, more detailed image than the lower end 4.68 gbps HDMI.

Monster makes the best HDMI cables, but they're a little pricey. The only difference between Monster and, say Dynex brand, is the layered coats of protection which guards the electrical current from outside electromagnetic interference, plus Monster makes higher bandwidth cables.

  3. No it really doesn't matter which brand of cable you buy. Just make sure it can support the resolution you want (i.e. you want 1080i but the cable only goes up to 720p). A cheap Philips cable should do the job.
