I have two copies of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, but they are slightly different. The first one is paperback and has a picture of a younger brown-haired wizard on the back. The inscription says that Harry is "rescued by an owl". The second book is a hardback and has a picture of an older white-haired wizard on the back and says that Harry is rescued by "a beetle-eyed giant of a man". I love the Harry Potter series, but I really don't know much about the different editions of the books. I'm just wondering what the difference is and if there is any significance to the difference. Are they worth anything? Thanks a bunch!
