Which Health Insurance Provider, for Individuals in Texas, USA?

Hi,

I live in Texas, USA. For last 8 months I didn't have an health insurance and I don't want to go with the employer's insurance for some reasons.

I want to take an Individual Health Insurance. Can you please tell me which provider to go with. I heard that NASE/MEGA are not good. Do you know an agent who can help me?.

I would say you had heard right about Mega-Life and Health.  You can look at many online sites and find health insurance.  You can go to google and do a search.  You will find http://www.lvhealthins.com It is best if you make sure the company you are purchasing health insurance from is selling major medical insurance.  In Texas if a companies call a product major medical the policy has to meet certain standards.

I concur about Mega.

If you're looking for an agent you can try the guy that does your car insurance. Often they'll also work with some health plans or they'll know someone who does. You can also ask friends or neighbor who their agent is. If all of that fails you can go to this website http://www.yourhealthplanadvisor.com/oos... and request quotes. You'll get several agents calling you. Go with a major company and ask the agent questions about the policy because there are hundreds of plans available and they're not all alike.
