if your not planning on riding it then maybe you could go down to a horse rescue they will have plenty of horses that have been mistreaten and cant be riden..

i have a paint and she is wonderfull.but thats just wut i think.and they r beautiful

Any average size horse would probably make a good pet. I would also think miniature ponies are nice because they are small and cute. If you are planning on not doing any type of riding, look into buying someones old riding horse that needs a nice place to retire.

If you are not going to be learning how to ride, look into adopting an older horse from a rescue. Mini's can make good pets also.

If you want to learn how to ride, go take lessons before buying a horse.

I have paints and quarters and they are both great
