  1. At least 400 with a tripod and cable release, hand held Go with 1600 and hope for the best.  


  2. Linked below is a nice exposure calculator you can use to figure out what ISO you'll need to get the right balance of f-stop and shutter speed.  

    If you're using a tripod and don't care about shutter speed -- that is, you don't care about blurring of car lights, etc. -- I'd go with ISO 100 or 200 to get the sharpest picture you can.

  3. Choose an ISO as high as necessary but as low as possible for night shots. The higher the ISO the more sensitive your camera is to light. As a side-effect higher ISO-numbers also result in grainier pictures. So you will need to find the right balance for your lighting conditions.

  4. A higher ISO is better for night scene, at least 800 onwards.

    But a higher ISO means a grainier picture so watch out for that.

    So the best is if you have a tripod then you can use a lower ISO setting.
