I am a relatively Novice skater and weight about 120lbs and i'm worried about buying "Too much Skate". i intend to skate approx 4-5hrs a week and have been checkin tons of reviews on skates which is now doing my head in....not sure if at my level the skates make much difference.

Also last time i went skating i got sore knees....is this common? will knee supports prevent this???

  1. about the sore knees, if its not from falling you need to bend your knees when you skate.

for the skates, its all a personal prefrance, easton skates weren't wide enough for me, but my friend likes his. You should go to a hockey equipment store that has a good selection and try on different pairs of skates make sure they fit good, are comfortable and give you plenty of support. Another option would be to go to Play it again sports or a store like that and look for a good pair of skates for a cheap price, this is how i got my skates and i've been playing hockey for a while.

i have a pair of CCM 1152 Tacks. They're perfect for me, they have good support and are perfect for my feet.  i got them used, but they were basically brand new so it was the best deal. everyones feet are different so look whats best for u
