"Curry" is the most overused description of Indian food in the western world. There is no such thing as a "curry taste". Literally curry is a gravy, which could taste like just about anything.

You may like to try an Indian owned resteraunt, look for dishes like shahi paneer, malai kofta, dry dishes like tikkas may be good. The best bread to have along with North Indian cuisine is butter naan.

Palak Paneer (spinich and cheese) is my wife's favorite.  Tandori Chicken is great too.  Roti bread and rice go with well with these.  Banana or mango lassi to drink.

there is nothing called curry taste curry is a particular dish but if you want to try Indian authentic food try Biryani, or butter chicken
