  1. You lucky things you....

    Their both fantastic

    toss a coin

    and take pot luck

    you wont be disappointed

  2. Dromoland. Lucky you if you can afford to stay there. Enjoy.

  3. Can I come too?  Either - both fantastic.  Why not spend a day at each?

  4. Ashford as you can do falconry, horseriding, fishing etc and its situated on irelands second biggest lake and the biggest in the republic.

Also the castle is situated in the village where the film the quiet man was filmed.

  5. Dromoland, if you can afford it. It's the nicest plushest most luxury 5 star in Ireland, IMO.

  6. Dromoland. Ashford is in the middle of nowhere. The  other one is near ennis and the burren etc and a short drive from shannon airport

  7. My husband and i stayed at Ashford Castle for out honeymoon. We loved it. The castle is secluded and is a nice drive. They treated us like royalty and gave us so many upgrades because it was our honeymoon. They had so many activities to do and the grounds were so large that we werent able to see it all the 4 days we were there.

  8. I've stayed at Dromoland and had a marvelous time - it's close to lots of entertainment and activities and it's beautiful.

But Ashford Castle is where John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara and the cast of the Quiet Man stayed while filming my favorite movie, The Quiet Man.  It's located in the Galway countryside and seems more authentic.  Small quaint towns nearby (like Clifden) lots of fishing etc.

    Both are great.  Have fun!

  9. Dromoland is nicer.

  10. Dromoland
