Question:

Which Irish whisky??

My mum's birthday is coming up (Sept) and i'd like to buy her a good bottle of Irish whisky.

She only drinks either Jamesons or Bushmills, so which could you recommend?

I'm looking to spend up to £90 for a decent bottle, maybe a bit more for a good one.

I'm visiting the Jamesons distillery in Dublin in August and was thinking of getting her a bottle from there, but i've been told it'll be well over priced and that i should buy it online.

Can anyone help me please?? xx

  1. Go get the Jamesons from the distillery, those bottles mainly come with little extras that you won't get in the shops and she'll love it!

  2. Bushmill, Happy Birthday to your mom....

  3. theres a limited edition of bushmills at the minute, for their annivesary, its £80/£90 a bottle, its a malt whiskey, produced in the year that the company got their license.  www.bushmills.com

  4. A bottle of paddies.

  5. Jamesons for sure.  I just had some 12 year stuff and it was some of the best Irish whiskey I've ever tasted.

Although I agree with a previous answer, you can't go wrong with Paddy's.  Every time I'm in Europe I bring back 4 bottles with me.  Wish they sold that stuff in the US.

  6. i prefer bushmills, they have a special edition on the market now

  7. Defitnitely Jamesons. Best by far.

I thought it was Whiskey if its Irish.

  8. By pass the Bushmill's 1608 Anniversary...and definitely purchase the Bushmill's  Single Malt !!!!  Rated a 95 by the Tasting Institute.

  9. Jameson's definetly best by far =]!!

Have a look around in a few offlicences in Dublin & you should find a cheaply priced bottle <33

    Up the Irish  XD

  10. With £90.00 to spend, why not get her one of each.  Incidentally what you are looking for is a bottle of good Irish Whiskey not what you asked for, sorry to be pedantic but the spelling and grammar used on answers gets to me at times........................... Any room at her birthday party?

  11. Bushmills White Bush Irish Whiskey

    its gorgeous

  12. I would go with a bottle from the distillery. I was there a couple years ago and brought back a 12 year bottle they only sell at the distillery. That ran about $70. They also had an 18 year that ran about $120. I don't know quite how that converts, but the 12 was fantastic, and I would imagine the 18 to be even smoother.

  13. you mean 'whiskey'

    Whisky is Scotch(Scottish made)
