  1. I bought a 42" LG plasma last year (for $1,000), and love it.  Samsung makes a nice LCD TV, as does Sony, Phillips, Pioneer, Panasonic...all the major brands.

  2. best buy is really the best place

  3. There really isn't a "best" .. you just have to decide what would work best for you based upon what you want and how you live... If you go to Consumer Reviews, it can help you narrow down your choices amongst the more reputable, quality TVs

things to consider are: resolution, contrast, viewing angle

  4. I bougth LCD which is not bad, full HD, SONY 40v3000. When i see plasma i like it better because its a lot brighter, about 3 times, and has a faster response, again about 3 fold. I believe my next choice it will be a 50 inch FullHD plasma.

  5. For every budget and need the BEST TV would be different.

Brand choice is another thing, I wouldn't be stressing too much about it, but still suggest Sony, Sharp or Samsung.

If you are on tied budget and will use it only for games I would suggest to buy 720p LCD TV on-line: http://caseyequip.com/o~c-Flat_Panel_Tel...

If you have a lot of money and need very high picture quality then consider to buy plasma TV: http://caseyequip.com/o~c-Flat_Panel_Tel...

Apart from better contrast due to its ability to show deeper blacks, plasma screens typically have better viewing angles than LCD. Viewing angles are how far you can sit on either side of a screen before the picture's quality is affected.

    Good luck!

  6. check on this

Samsung LN52A650 52-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color

    Price : $2,199.98

  7. samsung is cheap and good but panasonic or pioneer are the best but exspensive

  8. I have a Sanyo Plasma Hdtv from Wal-mart.

It's the cheapest and best tv around. I love it!!

  9. i bought a samsung plasma 42" about a month ago i love it the only thing that i don't like about it is that when its on mute it kinda makes a humming noises

  10. LCD - they use lower electricity so theyre easier on the bills

sony is still the best, but if ur looking for more affordable ones, westinghouse and philips are ok

  11. "Best" is highly subjective.  "Best" will change from person to person.

I loved the picture on the higher end Sony Bravia line, but didn't care so much for their premium price tag.  Sharp, who in my mind, used to be the gold standard with the Aquos line, has lost their edge, at least in my opinion.

We recently took the plunge on an HD set.  We opted for a 46" Samsung LCD (the LN46A650).  Fantastic picture, 120 Hz refresh rate, 4 HDMI ports, fantastic picture.  For my $$, that's the best TV.  It can be found on Amazon currently for $1699 or so.  We got it almost 2 months ago and paid $1799.  I think the picture on our Samsung is every bit as good as the high-end Bravias too.
