  VIZIO seems to be the current "front runner" here. That said, make sure you're comfortable with a brands warranty before buying. Many budget brands don't have good warranty policies. I was informed that they were only concerned about making a sale and not customer loyalty.

  Another option is to go to some Circuit Cities or Best Buys and see if they have some "open box" TVs from a more reputable name being sold for cheap.
