  1. I think you should go to Puerto Rico. I don't know nothing about USVI but i know that Puerto Rico its lots of fun.If you want more detailed info contact me. I'm from over there.

  2. Hello, My number one choice will be Puerto Rico.  There's a lot to do and see in Puerto Rico. Some are:

El Morro, which is an old fort with a lot of history and a scenery like no other.

El Yunque, the only rainforest in America.

Arecibo Observatory which is the largest satellite in the world.

Tibes Indian Ceremonial Center is a cemetery that features a 1500 year old Taino village, much of which remains more or less intact.

Fluorescent Bay, which is a river that glows, there's only 3 in the world and 2 are in PR. The other, I believe is in Asia - maybe Japan.

These are just a few places, there's so much to visit and do that I can't list them all. Now if you compare to the Virgin Island you'll see that PR is a much better place.

Yes, the Government is in need of change, but many will say the same about the US, so don't let politics affect your judgement.

...And just like in all the countries in the world, we have the bad areas, which are not accessible to tourists because there's nothing to do there.

  3. you can go to the USVI and the catch the sea plane over to San Juan, PR its only a 20 minute ride. spend a few days here and there.

  4. Why don't you go to both? St thomas is very close to puerto rico, i think maybe a 60 mile gap? I've been to st thomas and St johns, St thomas is very pretty but st johns is a smaller island and is not as populated as st thomas. but there is more to see and do in puerto rico

  5. Puerto Rico i guess ....

visiting a new country is always better ....

    u try new things ....

  6. Puerto Rico's Hotels are more expensive than the US Virgin Islands.  There's also the language barrier that you will run into in PR.  Frankly the best beaches and snorkeling in the entire caribbean is in St. John's, which is a 20 minute ferry ride away from St. Thomas.

Lastly, it's far safer for US tourists to visit the Virgin Islands.  Puerto Rico is very dangerous, with violence that is unmatched in the Caribbean.  It is a problem you do not want to deal with when on vacation.  See below.

The better hotels in St. Thomas are Frenchmens Reef or the Sugarbay Resort.  The Renaissance was closed but is being remodeled.  There is also the Ritz-Carlton.  All of these hotels have excellent service, and the prices are better.

  7. Definitely, Puerto Rico. There is a lot of stuff to do!!! Also, THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO SPEAK ENGLISH  SO DO NOT GET SCARED CUZ YOU WILL NOT FIND SOME ONE WHO SPEAK YOUR LANGUAGE CUZ U WILL FIND PEOPLE WHO REALLY SPEAK ENGLISH!!!

  8. Hello.  I think Puerto RIco is better because there is so many things to see & do. The Us virgin islands are very pretty, but its not much to it other than the beach. Puerto Rico has a lot of culture & it has urban & natural wonders. In San Juan  Old San Juan & spend a day exploring on foot, maybe take a walking tour. & defininetly see El Morro Fort. In San Juan you will find great shopping, restaraunts, casinos, nightlife & even beaches. Isla verde is similar to Miami beach. & of course there are good historical sights to see.

About 45 mins east of San Juan you will find El Yunque Rain Forest. It a big mountain. You can stop at the visitor center, it looks nice & they give you good info. Then you can drive up, park the car & walk the trails. You can also swim in La Mina waterfalls, its so refreshing. Also close by you can go to Las Croabas bioluminescent lagoon in Fajardo. The water glows in the dark & you can take a kayak tour. Its amazing. Also from Fajardo you can take a ferry to Culebra or Vieques islands. They have the best white sand beaches with crystal clear water. Also in Vieques there is a bio bay too. To the west of San Juan (north PR) you can go to Arecibo telescope, the largest radio telescope in the world. Its a cool sight. & close by is Rio Camuy Caves. If you like to surf then go to Rincon on the west coast. Ponce in the south is a nice city too. You can see seralles castle, museums & Guanica dry forest. There are beautiful beaches all over PR & the centeral is green mountains w/ lovely views. The whole island is about 100 miles x 35 miles so everything is pretty close. Eat local cuisine, its delicious & have fun!

  10. USVI. In Puerto Rico they speak Spanish, so if that's a problem, there's another reason to go to the USVI. If not, you should still go anyways. My grandparents live in St. Croix during the winter and I went down to visit them once, and it was my favorite vacation I've been on. The weather is gorgeous, of course, the beaches are beautiful, all the islands are within boat ride lengths of each other, the fishing is awesome. I highly suggest the USVI's.

  11. USVI. They're some of the best islands in the caribbean, in my opinion. St. Thomas is really popular, St. John's is beautiful (75% of the island is national park) and St. Croix I haven't been to but have heard it's great. I would check out the webpages for each island and then you can read more and see pictures. That might help you decide.

  12. Puerto Rico, if u want to see cultural accent in difference with the US. we speak English and you wont have problems with money exchange, because we use the same currency.
