  1. All very brutal ko's and it's really hard to say which was the most brutal.  I still believe that the Cooney ko of Norton was the most brutal.  I think the referee should have jumped in a stopped that fight much sooner than he did ad Norton could have been killed.  I can still see that image of him sagging on the ropes and defenseless with Cooney ripping those left hooks.

  2. three brutal kayo's, but having just watched all 3 on y/t, i pick cooney over norton (was gonna go with mercer over morrisson, but having just reminded myself of the 3 ko's in question, i stick with cooney ~ norton).

  3. mercer vs morrison was the most brutal I've ever seen. even after the fight Mercer , while watching a replay in slow motion told the interviewer the fight should have been stopped earlier  b/c the guy could have been killed. There was probably more fan build up to the mercer fight too. but it's sort of like comparing apples to oranges b/c they all came at completely different times of the fight

  4. I have to go with the Mercer-Morrison fight as well.  I think most of the people find it very hard to have any sympathy for Ruiz.  He was such a terribly boring fighter who was given one chance after another.  I really don't think many even consider the Tua-Ruiz fight at all.  Most are just glad to see Ruiz gone.

I agree with the rest here that Morrison could have been seriously hurt.  It's a miracle that he wasn't.  Norton was seriously hurt as well but Cooney didn't hit his as often as Mercer hit Morrison because the fight was stopped on time, unlike the Morrison fight.

  5. dude the Mercer Morrison fight hands down Mercer punished Morrison he was on the ropes and was still getting hit Tommy was trying to fall but the ropes kept him up if the ropes weren't there Morrison would of been sent into the first row literally that fight should of been stopped i don't know what the referee was thinking Tommy could have been seriously injured even killed that was the most brutal ko i have ever seen

  6. Mercer hands down cant agree with anyone else more

  7. I gotta say Mercer vs. Morrison though all 3 were brutal. Morrison was a sitting duck and Mercer just teed off on him as the ref was slow with the stoppage. I actually though Morrison was going to be killed because the ref took so long to step in.

    d**n good question.

  8. Definitely Mercer vs Morrison, although the others were truly devastating. Tommy was in his corner long after the fight was over slipping punches on his stool that were not coming. The Ref in the fight my buddy Joe did a horrible job in not positioning himself properly so he could see the reign of terror that Mercer was unleashing on a helpless Morrison.

I take into account that both of these fighters were in their PRIMES, unlike a very old Norton against a much younger Cooney, as far as Ruiz is concerned, John is not a top fighter nor will he ever be.

    Morrison, Norton then Ruiz.
