Which LCD TV has the best picture? Samsung, JVC, Sony, Panasonic?

I want to purchase a 40-42 inch LCD tv, and I don't know which one to choose. I want one that has great sound, reception and picture. I will spend between $1500-$2000.

I have a Sony and a Samsung and the best picture is on the Sony...It is 1080i and has great picture quality..The Samsung is also great...it is a little cheaper to buy..But both are great sets and you will like either one..Go for quality or go for price, your choice..

Samsung is the best that I've seen for the price range that you have given.  I actually own a 40" Samsung LCD TV, 120Hz 650-family.  I really really recommend it.  It's MSRP is $2299, but you can find it cheap sometimes.  It's $1499 at the link below (8/16/2008).  So, you can spend your bottom line, and then save the $500... or put it into an entertainment system, etc.  Read the reviews... it's an amazing television!
