Which LCDs brands are good?

Question

I want to buy a LCD televison, and wanted to know which brand would be the best to buy. Is Phillips any good?

Samsung is one of the highest rated as far as I have been told. Phillips is a kinda middle of the road IMO. Look at it this way, Wal-mart carries low end to middle. Stores like Best Buy or Circuit City will carry higher end stuff, just look at the pricing, the more you spend the better the quality in most cases. So it really comes down to your budget. I would try to stay away from the lower end stuff, I've heard some horror stories on some of the less known namebrands. Good luck!

i never bought philips buy samsung, sony also panasonic i had a tv from 1991 and it recently died lol
