  1. mexico, the land of my ancestors...possibly the best place in latin america.

  2. Uruguay.  For me, its South America's best kept secret.  Great beaches, quaint little towns, wonderful people...

  3. Ooh! First of all, interesting question! Second of all, I am most intrigued by Mexico : because of Mexico City : because Tenochtitlan, the capital of the Aztec empire, used to stand there! Fascinating stuff!

  4. Brazil for sure.

  5. Uruguay, Mexico, and Peru. I just find the beaches in Uruguay as extremely beautiful. Mexico because of its ancient history, although it's a bit dangerous. And Peru because I can go to the Andes, to the beaches, and to the jungle at the same time. It's beautiful if you are interested in the Spanish and Inca cultures.

  6. French Guiana

  7. Colombia!  When I started learning spanish in highschool I was introduced to Shakira's music which I fell in love with. I liked it so much I started researching other Colombian music and I met some colombian people. I went to Colombian restaraunts and clubs. I just love everything the food, dances, music,  the people and thier different accents from region to region.  I have yet to go to Colombia but read every article and wacht ever travel show about it. It is a beautiful country with tons of natural wonders ...

I can't wait to actual go there someday!

P.S.  I have been to Mexico. El DF, veracruz, cuernavaca, poza rica .... It is also a beautiful county . The pyramids were awesome and the national palace, the anthropological museum ...

  8. Peru because the Maya culture, their old cities and history.

  9. Mexico! We visited my husbands family and they HAD to be the nicest people that I had ever met.  Treated me like I was gold and did their very best to communicate with me.

  10. I would say Panama. Panama is a land full of beauty, mystery and definitely a whole different world of various sounds. The rainforests in Panama are a safe haven for several species of plants and animals.

Panama has become one of the major tourism destinations across Central and Latin America. The Panama Canal provides an insight into the world's largest man-made wonder. This canal has been restructructured for providing visitors an inquisitive view and knowledge of how it was first built before being restructured. Panama's indigenous Indians are also some of the rarest in the world with cultural practices hidden from most of the other South American and Amazonian tribes. Rare frogs, predators such as the jaguar, caiman and several birds of prey live in this beautiful country of the Americas.

I was definitely intrigued by Panama and would recommend anybody to visit Panama. Panama was also a recent host to the Miss Universe pageant in 2003. Several international companies are now placed in Panama City, the capital of Panama. Panama has been also named as one of the very few countries in terms of it's megadiversity of plant and animal life by WWF (Worldwide Fund for Nature).

Certainly, Panama is worth a visit and would not in anyway disappoint any foreign visitors.

  11. All of them! I'd love to do a huge road trip through all of Latin America some day but like you the safety factor concerns me. I also don't speak any spanish so it could be a challenge. For now I'm going to see them one at a time...Mexico next month!

  12. Costa Rica. I here the rainforests are gorgeous. They also have these butterfly farm tours that sound like a lot of fun.
