Which MBA is more prestigious? An MBA from Northeastern University or from U. of Massachusetts (Amherst)?

HI, I would like to know which MBA is considered more prestigious. An MBA from Northeastern University in Boston or an MBA from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.

Neither beats Harvard but NU with it's program of internships will make it easier to get hired afterward.

Neither one is considered top tier so it doesn't really matter that much to an employer whether you got the MBA degree from Northeastern or UMass.  I would strongly recommend selecting the less expensive option since they are sincerely a toss up.

  Alumnis

  Internship programs

  Excellent professors (for example: Brown, Harvard graduates)

  Private

  Online program

  AACSB

Disadvantages:

  Expensive (No financial aid)

  They really care about work experience

  

UMASS-

  Cheap tuition

  Great academic experience

  Online program

  AACSB

Disadvantages:

  Network of Alumnis

  Public school graduate

  Work experience

Bottom line:  Both schools are good.  It is not easy graduating from these two schools.  They will make you study a lot.  I would recommend that you apply to more than the two mentioned schools because you really dont know where you are going to be accepted.  Its a lot different from undergraduate.  Just play it safe.  After all, MBA is highly demanded by lots of employers.
