  2. The 2nd one is faster 2.4 GHz vs 2.2 GHz. Everything else looks pretty much the same. Price wise, $ for $ they are about the same. Both seem like a good deal.

  3. Depends on whether you want a 15" monitor or a 17" monitor....? Other than that its not really a case of which is "better" as such since they both run the same OSX and come with the same bundled software.

Judging by that asking price I would say they are clearing stock to make way for the updated MBP which is possibly due to be announced in September.

  4. The second, Apple MacBook Pro MB133LL/A, *much* better than the first one for loads of reasons:

    1) Processor speed - 2.2GHz vs 2.4Ghz

    2) Wireless network speeds a/b/g vs a/b/g/n (n is the latest and now the industry standard)

    3) Hard drive size - 120GB vs 200GB (Nearly double!)

    4) Video Memory - 128MB vs 256MB (Double!)

All in, the second computer is the more up to date configuration and it doesn't cost a great deal more than the first - it is worth paying the extra for the additional hard drive space alone.

  5. Don't get a Macintosh unless you're wanting to get into video editing. You can get a windows computer that is better for half the price.

  6. Honestly, I wouldn't even bother with this store. A MacBook Pro for under $1000 bucks? That immediately raises a red flag. Be wary of sites that sell a MacBook Pro at prices this low. It's very risky. I wouldn't purchase from this site because they're very suspicious. It says on their 'About us' page, their main office is in Texas but, if you Google their location, it's in a residential area. And, if you did a domain look-up, like I did, they're based somewhere in Maryland. Which is definitely not in Texas. Be careful there are sites like these that sell products well below market value and I'm sure that a 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Macbook Pro is worth more than $1000 dollars.
