Perhaps the first man in tennis who was publicly known to be homosexual,or bisexual would be Baron Gottfried Von Cramm in the 30's.

I would not expect any male to come out during their active career.I think the fear of being treated with hatred,and the possible financial repercussions would simply be to high.

Considering the stereotypes involved in sports,it is far easier for a woman to come out.

Rumors abound about Blake and Gasquet.

But who really cares anyway?

It's tough to come out in any pro sport. There are so many who will judge you for it.

I for one wish they would all come out but there's so much hatred out there.

The day will come when it won't be such a big deal anymore and hopefully players will not be afraid of coming out.

Until then, just let them be.

Suvs has the right answer.   Everyone seemed to know that Bill Tilden (years ago) was g*y.   He didn't go around announcing it, however.
