9 ANSWERS

  1. Calvin Johnson and Anthony Gonzalez

  2. check out: 2008 Rookie Wide Receiver Rankings

Potential Starters: James Hardy, Devin Thomas, Earl Bennett, Will Franklin

Rookie of the Year Candidates: James Hardy, Devin Thomas

STARTING MATERIAL 1. James Hardy, Buffalo–Hardy will see significant playing time for the Bills. If no other rookie stands out, Hardy will be your Rookie of the year. 2. Devin Thomas, Washington–Okay, you have Santana Moss on one side and the uninspiring Antwaan Randle El on the other. You heard it here first; Thomas will be the best receiver on this team. 3. Earl Bennett, Chicago–The only starter that the coaching staff has announced was Marty Booker…and they weren’t too sure of themselves. Bennett should easily beat out Mark Bradley and Devin Hester to start opposite of Booker. Even if he doesn’t, Booker is so old and untalented it would be a travesty to keep Bennett on the sideline. 4. Will Franklin, Kansas City–All Franklin has to do to win the starting job over Jeff Webb and Devard Darling is show up to OTAs, training camp and remain healthy.

  3. DeSean Jackson, Limas Sweed, Ted Ginn Jr, and James Hardy are all poised to have great (relatively) years

  4. desean jackson-will get plenty of receptions with the oppostion concentrating on westbrook

  5. Sophomores:

    Calvin Johnson

    Anthony Gonzalez

    Steve Smith

    Rookies:

    Desean Jackson

    James Hardy

    Dexter Jackson

  6. Calvin Johnson will prove he was worthy of his draft choice.

I agree with DeSean Jackson having a big rookie year as well.

  7. Sophomores:

Calvin Johnson has looked like the beast everyone thought he would be. He was held back by injuries last year, but was still making big plays.

If the Dolphin's line can hold, which is looking like it will, Ted Ginn could have a good year. Maybe not break out, but enough to not be called a bust.

Steve Smith for the Giants  is coming off a strong finish to last season with an oft-injured Plaxico Burress and aging Amani Toomer.

Sidney Rice could be ready for a much bigger year with teams focusing on the running game and Berrian on the opposite side of him. Just needs a legitimate QB, which Jackson was looking like before his preseason injury.

    Rookies:

Eddie Royal has a lot of big play potential and a very solid QB in Jay Cutler throwing to him. Could have a great rookie season.

Josh Morgan has shown reliability and a lot of speed for the 49'ers, and in a Mike Martz system, that's a very popular thing.

    Honorable Mentions:

Sophomore: Robert Meachem has shown a lot of improvement, but still hasn't cracked the starting lineup, or slot position, but he may pass Devery Henderson during the year.

Rookie: DeSean Jackson is over-hyped currently. He has played well in the preseason but people need to realize that even with Kevin Curtis out, Jackson is still only a slot receiver. The starting job was given to Hank Baskett. The slot receiver role in the Eagles offense is not a big position. If Reggie Brown gets hurt, Jackson will move into his spot and could make some plays.

    Devin Thomas

    Jordy Nelson.
