  1. The Giants

  2. The Steelers. People are saying that their defense and Roethlisberger will struggle this year. Yeah, they got a really tough schedule, but I think playoffs again.

  3. I was listening to ESPN radio today and they said something very interesting.  While most analysts are hyping the Cowboys especially and some of the other playoff teams like the Pats, Chargers, and Colts, it turns out, statistically speaking, that a surprisingly high percentage of SB winners didn't make the playoffs the year before.

So they spent the rest of the hour discussing teams who didn't make the playoffs this year.  A couple teams sounded very good.  The Vikes came up, but I don't think you can say they are being overlooked this year at all...esp. with the Favre hype this summer.  The Eagles sounded good too, if McNabb stays healthy, but that's always an issue.

So I'll say the NO Saints.  They weren't in the playoffs last year, but they went pretty far two years ago. They may still be a little weak on defense, but they drafted smart last year and this year and their offense is nothing but weapon upon weapon plus they got a killer TE in Jeremy Shockey from NYG trade.  Look for them not to get much hype this year, but make the playoffs and maybe more.

With the statistics they gave on ESPN, it is refreshing to know just how wrong these overpaid analysts are who predict winners.  They always pick teams from last year's playoffs so they are wrong over 50% of the time.

My own team is the NYG, and while we still don't get any respect from the analysts--they are actually predicting we will end up 3rd just in divisional play, after Dallas and DC (what's new), I wouldn't call the Giants "overlooked" at all.  In fact, all teams they play this year will have their radar on high when they play the Giants, this year SB Champs.

  4. raiders

  5. I would have to say the Titans. They don't really have much of an offense, but their defense is top notch. They seem to always keep games close and win a lot of ugly games. Haynesworth is an absolute beast and if they actually had a decent offense, they would be right in the mix as Super Bowl contenders. This coming from a Chargers fan.

  6. BUFFALO BILLS BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITCHES

  7. Philadelphia.

  8. Arizona Cardinals have some good offensive players and have been kind of off of everyone's mind lately.
