  1. saints, deuce mcalaster and reggie bush

  2. More than they'd like to admit.  Injuries and aging starters have forced teams to run more players to keep them healthy.  The Jacksonville Jags use Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones Drew for example.

  3. There are going to be many teams to use it this year.

    Oakland: Fargas/McFadden

    Chicago: Forte/Jones

Tampa: Graham/Dunn (Could have three with Williams in the mix)

    Tennessee: White/Johnson

    Orleans: Bush/McAllister

    Pittsburgh: Parker/Mendenhall

    Jaguars: Taylor/Drew

    Giants: Jacobs/Bradshaw

    Dallas: Barber/Jones

    Carolina: Williams/Stewart

    Minnesota: Peterson/Taylor

    Miami: Brown/Williams

    Detroit: Smith/Bell

These are all pretty solid one-two punches. It seems like every team in the NFL is trying to get two backs to share the workload.

  4. Jags- Jones-Drew and Taylor

    Saints- McAllister and Bush

    Bucs- Williams, Graham, Dunn

    Vikings- Peterson and Taylor

    Raiders- McFadden and Fargas

  5. Most

    Dolphins, Brown and Williams

Colts, Addai and Rhodes (another guy filled that role last season)

Giants, Their backfield was a rotation last year

Texans, No clear cut favorite, Green and Brown will split with Dayne still sniping a few carries.

Titans, White and Brown split last year, this year there is another guy to split with White.

    Jacksonville, Jones-Drew and Fred Taylor

Atlanta, Turner and Norwood. Last season Norwood and Dunn split.

Carolina, Williams and Stewart. Last season Williams and Foster

Denver, they never really have a clear cut 300 carry runner.

KC, they are rumored to be siphoning carries from LJ to a new rookie.

Raiders, They will split with McFadden and Fargas with Michael Bush vulturing goal line carries.

Minnesota runs a 2 back with Chester Taylor taking about 1/3rd of the carries and AP getting 2/3rds

New Orleans splits McAllister and Bush

Tampa, Graham and Dunn are expect to have a 60-40 split.

SF, Foster is expected to relieve Gore more then Gore has been rested in the past

Seattle has 3 RBs to split carries between with Julius Jones the top man.

Pittsburgh is expected to split with Parker and Mendenhall.

Patriots never truly have given their RBs full duties

SD, with LT now 29 expect them to cut back his carries some.

If you notice the AFC and NFC south seem to be home to a higher percentage of 2 back systems.

  6. i cant think of one

the cowboys had one barber and jones but then we releeased jones

but i think the saints have it like that with mcallister and bush

thats the only one that comes to mind

  7. There's a few teams that use this system. The dallas cowboys with Marion Barber and Felix Jones. The miami dolphins also with Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown. The new orleans saints with Duece McCallister and Reggie Bush. Tampa Bay buccaneers will start that system this year with Carnell Williams and Ernest Graham or whoever is healthy on that team.Seattle Seahawks also use it with Maurice Morris and Julius Jones.Oakland Raiders have more of a 3 back with McFadden,Bush and whoever that third guy is.But the team that probably uses the 2 back system better than anyone is Jacksonville Jaguars with Maurice Jones-Drew and Fred Taylor,no one has a better 1-2 punch with that then them.

  8. Almost all of them use some sort of two back system now.   They have their main guy for 1st and 2nd down and then bring in another guy for short yardage and 3rd down.
