  1. The one that I have to look up all the time is Filipula. No Flipula, no Fillupupla, no wait just a second, F i l p p u l a. That's it Filppula.

  2. John Vanbeisbrouck (no idea how to spell it)

I believe, the Beezer is the only pro athlete to have all the vowels in his last name.

  3. I can't spell, so anything complicated is mangled by me. I learn to spell the Hurricanes players though. Samsonov is about as complicated as it was last season, but Pitkanen will be a challenge (had to look it up)

Spell check is wonderful, but not many hockey players. Gretzky and Lemieux are on Google's though.

  4. There are so many to choose from .. I think it's

    vladimir Vishnovsky.

I speak a little Czech and even I often mis-type it as having a C.

Time for me to visit friends in Praha so I can learn to spell it right once and for all eh?

  5. kostistyn or how ever you spell it.

khabebulin, Joe Nieuwendyk also are tough

  6. It's not a hard one at all, but apparently some people have trouble spelling Lidstrom and believe it to be "Lindstrom"

  7. Wow... now that I think of it, there are a lot of hockey names out there that get miss spelled... primarily because the majority of hockey players are from other countries.

  8. Well Lidstrom is not hard, but everyone always spells it LiNdstrom. But Lecavalier is also a hard one.

  9. Sidney Crosby.

People keep writing the name Gretzky next to his name.....

  10. When I first found out about him, I always spelled Valtteri Filppula wrong. Now that he is my favorite player, I think I could spell his name in my sleep:D

    At first, very tricky though.

  11. Anything Finnish.  They have names that North Americans have troubles with.Jarkko Ruutu, Pekka Rinne, Tukka Rask, Valtteri Filppula, Antti Laaksonen, etc.

  12. Lecavalier still gets butchered by many.

  13. My vote:

    Damien & Mathias Tjärnqvist

How many proper names have either a 'tj' or 'qv' in them much less both?

  14. Domi...everyone spelt it "Dummy"..or "Cementhead".

  15. I think it would have to be Nikolai Khabibulain, or whatever, also I could see people getting Patrick Roy's name mixed up because of the way it is pronounced.

  16. Stall instead of Staal.  its easy but no one gets it right.  pretty bad considering there are 3 of them in the nhl.

  17. from my fave team (the Blackhawks), I'd say...

    Dustin Byfuglien (sounds like Bufflin)

    Nikolai Khabibulin

    Jonathan Toews

  18. I'm actually a good speller believe it or not... and i still cant spell nieuendiek... jeeze thats not even close... well his first name was joe so thats easy... he will always be known as joey n in my books...

  19. i don't thinkk it is hard to spell but everyone seems to mispell upshall, i always see it as upshaw or upsall
