  1. Ottawa Senators

  2. we will just have to wait & see (:

  3. East=Tamba Bay Lightning

    West=Detriot Redwings

    Cup Winner= Detriot Redwings

i am a pittsburgh and toronto fan

  4. We'll have to see, but barring Stanley Cup hangovers, it looks like it will be Detroit and Pittsburgh with the best shots, again.

  5. Detriot will be the best team in the NHL and because they added hossa to the mix, they have a good shot at repeating as Stanley Cup Champions.

  6. Tampa Bay is looking like it's going to be pretty d**n good in the east.

  7. Detroit is one along with the flyers

  8. first of all i am BIG detroit fan. but based on talent and skill i believe detroit will be the best next season in the whole NHL. And im going to go out on a limb here and say it will be detroit against either pittsburgh,(again) montreal, or toronto.

  9. LES CANADIENS

    DE MONTREAL

  10. the expos would win the world series in baseball if they still existed this year

  11. There's no way to tell yet. I'll tell you next June.

  12. CAPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. Capitals and Red Wings.  The Caps are coming off an amazing year, and now their young inexperienced team is one year better, and will have the best coach in the league all season.  The Red Wings won the Stanley cup because they were the best team the NHL has seen in awhile, and now all they've done is add Hossa the best free agent available.  They'll face each other in the finals and I hate to say it, but my guess is the Red Wings will win.

  14. I am a lontime Leaf fan but I am honest Redwings & Capitals, Pens need a little more time to grow and age together as a team give them another 2 yrs

  15. Well this years free agency period didn't showcase as much talent as last year but there was still an impact. The West finals will be a battle between a newly great defensive team, the San Jose Sharks, from there trade for Boyle and signing of Blake vs the Detroit Red Wings. In the end the Wings will prevail because they simply have too much talent up front with Zetterburg, Hossa, and Datsyuk all 30+ goal potential. Then the East will feature 2 atlantic division teams in their final. I believe the Canadiens will fall in a close 3rd and the Pens-Rangers matchup will be exciting. I know the pens got to the finals this year but I don't think there gonna go back and the NY Rangers will go to the Finals for the first time since winning it all in '94 thanks to the captaincy of newly acquired MARKUS NASLUND! Then the Wings go back-to-back and win in 6

  16. Buffalo Sabres - East

    Detroit Red Wings - West

    back to 06/07 =]

  17. Detroit and San Jose will fight for the top spot in the West and Pittsburgh and Montreal in the East.

    Playoff teams...

    West:

    Detroit

    San Jose

    Dallas

    Chicago

    Anaheim

    Calgary

    Columbus

    St. Louis

    East:

    Montreal

    Pittsburgh

    NY Rangers

    New Jersey

    Tampa Bay

    Washington

    Ottawa

    Philadelphia

  18. well obviously i want my teams to be the best..pens and leafs.

but realistically speaking, i think detroit is going to be the best team.

oh, but i know the pens are going to be the best eastern team.

  19. I'll let you know once the season starts.

  20. Alex the Great and the Caps.

After making the playoffs, they are making moves as an organization to emphasize youth, speed and veteran influences.

  21. I have a feeling Tampa Bay is going to pretty good this year with some of the great pick ups they got. Im also going to say Montreal

  22. Gotta go with the Wings. Almost the entire Stanley Cup winning roster is coming back except they'll have Stuart for an entire year and they've added Hossa. That's just sick.

The east is tough - while the Pens' main players are intact, they've lost a lot since last season. Guys like Army and Malone played major roles for them that may be tough to replace. Tampa is stocking up at forward but their blueline is pathetic and I don't know how far Smith/Kolzig can take them but however far that is is how far they will get. The Rangers - eh. Montreal should still be strong and one would think Ottawa would rebound from their late-season dive. Caps could be dangerous but again they've rolled the dice by signing Theodore - it'll likely depend on which Theodore shows up.

Ultimately who knows. There's always your perennials plus a few teams that manage to suprise you. I'd be watching out for Phoenix and Chicago if I were in the West though - looks like they are both ready to make some noise.
