Which NYC boroughs support the Yankees and which ones support the Mets?

Having been born and raised in NY, Brooklyn to be exact( though 7 years ago I moved), I can say, obviously, that Bronx is for Yankees, and Queens is for Mets. Brooklyn more so pulls for both, I would say its even. Back in 2000 WS, right before I left Brooklyn, it  was a mad house. So many cheering for both teams. Staten Island tends to go for Yankees, but has fair share of Met fans as well. Manhattan is a toss up, with lower east side pulling more so for Yankees.

People tend to think that the Yankees get their support from Manhattan and the Bronx, while the Mets get theirs from Queens, Brooklyn and Staten Island.

But I'm a Brooklyn native and I can tell you that probably half the borough supports the Yankees. Most Mets fans from BK are the descendants of Yankee-hating Dodgers fans.

the Yankees are supported around the world, and in all boroughs.

the Mets are primarily supported in Queens and Brooklyn, some Staten Islanders.
