I like the nike one platinum, it seems softer and you can get true spin on it with a wedge, but it also releases when i chip and run it with an 8 iron.

Platinum for sure.  With a spin rate of over 13,000 rpm's, it is the fastest spinning ball on the market.  The Black is no slouch though.  It is third fastest in the spin rate.  Only the Wilson Tx4 spins faster.

The Nike Black is more for the distance and less spin. Platinum is the ball for greenside action, but if you know how to compress the ball both balls should be just as good.
