  1. to me i personally feel its london bridge is falling down!!!!

    i remember singing that song while i was still a kid.

    and now that i am an adult, the bridge have not fallen as yet! heck!!

  4. No nursery rhymes are " dumbest" to a small child!

    Singing them with your child letting them find the rhyme is an essential part of learning to read when a bit older.

    And children love them however silly they sound to adults ! just think how many years they have been going.

Nursery rhymes were originally political statements.  No wonder they don't make much sense to us now.  Today we just use them to teach rhyming and rhythm.  Rhymes don't have to make sense.  Rhyming is just about sounds.  They don't even haved to be real words.  Dog-mog, car-lar, tree-sree:  these are rhymes even though they are not all words.  So don't worry about whether or not nursery rhmes make sense.  They don't have to.  They're just silly little poems that children enjoy and they serve a constructive purpose.
