I would recommend Windows Vista because it is a better experience. Get Windows Vista Home Premium.

I would suggest XP with thoses spec's.

Although your processor (2.4 GHz) and memory (1.5 gb) are enough to run Vista, I would stick with XP because your Hard Drive is only 40GB.  Vista takes up a lot more room than XP.
