I think I have to go with synchronized swimming. It's a Radio City Dance Hall Revue in a pool.

  1. sppedwalking. that was like.. :|

i think they are going too far with adding stuff like the mountain biking stuff cause serisouly, why dont we add fishing to the list?!? get real..

  2. i think the steeplechase is such a stupid event. its ok to watch but the idea of it is ridiculous

  3. Speedwalking? I didn't even know that existed. Haaa. But I definitely think equestrian.

  4. i think You are ridiculous.

  5. BMX. Why not Nascar, F1, Superbikes?

  6. speed walking and badmitten

  7. hand wrestling, ping pong and sailing.

(Trampoline requires a lot of difficult gymnastic skills with all the tumbling and flips in the air and speedwalking is harder than running, so I'm not sure why those two are the most popular answers here).

  8. dude totally think speed walking

water polo r u people serious it a BA sport at least they do something unlike speed walking

  9. Speedwalking and Tug-of-war.

  10. Trampoline. It just seems like the least demanding of all the competitions. Also, rhythmic gymnastics, ugh! Speedwalking looks ridiculous, but it also looks very demanding.

  11. syncronised swimming i dont even class that as a sport and its so boring

  12. Water polo and speedwalking.

  13. EASILY speedwalking!

    BEST ANSWER ME!!!

  14. the walking marathons. they look so weird doing it!

  15. Tae Kwon Do - the womens especially.

The just bounce on their toes and occasionally kick their opponent.

The worst thing is the way they scream like wounded banshee's - its bizarre !

  16. field hockey

i mean the fun of hockey is that its on ice and you have guys hitting each other and well field hockey takes those two things out....if people wanted to see that they would watch lacrosse

  17. ansewer question

  18. speedwalking?? lol i didnt know that was in the olympics- thats crazy.

i think these are a bit.. odd.:

    sailing

    gymnastics artistic

    table tennis

    takewondo

i dont even know what "judo" is..

    and i cant stand boxing

but i think equestrian takes the cake.. i think its absolutley ridiculous. showing off horses = sport??? heh?

ecspecially when the horse does all the work and the person gets the medal. :/

  19. good question...I am amazed at some of the events at the summer games. If I had a choice I would get rid of ping pong and badminton. I really don't consider them "sports" in any means.

  20. Shooting and archery!!What do people get by showing expertise in using weapons in a world plagued by war????

  21. the speed walking race thing... i saw these guys in tv walking as fast as they could to get to the finish line and I started bursting out laughing. not to mention they're short shorts lol!

If your gonna compete in a competition why would you spend a year training to walk as fast as you can? lol!!

  22. I think they are all ridiculous. The Olympics are leftover competitions from the ancient Roman days. Physical competitions are ok for animals, like horse races. But with humans, there should be more emphasis placed on mental abilities, like a worldwide Jeopardy competition or chess matches. But people today are more interested in  entertainment and not as interested in intellectual activities.

  23. Table tennis and trampoline. I just don't get why trampoline would even be considered a sport under gymnastics.

  24. table tennis is kinda wierd

but you've gotta think about how hard all olympic sports are on your body and mind at that level! have a look at the russians in the sync last night! thats fairly impossible on terra firma let alone under water and don't forget they are not allowed to touch the bottom of the pool!

  25. Basketball its not competitive and is a non result. rythmic gymnastics its a joke, beach volleyball, team volleyball,  Dressage , wrestling, medlay swimming, waterpolo, sync swimming, baseball, softball, all stupid and should be dropped.

  26. Although all the sports in the Olympics do require skill, I would have to say ping-pong is one of my least favorites.  I think the noise of someone playing ping-pong is quite irritating after a while.  Speed-walking would have to be my next choice.  You can almost smell the endorphins.  lol

  27. Speedwalking and trampoline! C'mon walking and jumping around?

  28. "Table tennis" aka ping pong and where they shoot the rifles oh and sailing is a little odd too

Hand wrestling is an olympic sport that is rediculous

all these sports and they are getting rid of baseball and softball why??

  29. I like to watch synchronized swimming however just the whole deal with the sequins and makeup is ridiculous. They do work extremely hard for years to learn these things however.

  30. Synchronized swimming, rhythm gymnastics, trampoline, and equestrian. I mean on the first two come on. They were used as part of the opening show before a movie in the '20s and '30s at major movie theaters. And what was synchronized swimming's original name? Water ballet! They changed it just to hopefully con us into believing it's a sport (why do you think swimming is a part of it's new name). So theatrical, but so useless.

Trampoline's something that any kid whose ever played on a trampoline or in a bouncy castle already has done without having judges judge them. And if you're still fit enough you can still preform exactly what their doing for medals, without ever having any judges present to score you!

And what about Equestrian? The "sport" where the horse does all the work but the rider gets all the credit?

  31. Some of these answers are hilarious. I gave this some thought and it appears a lot of what was said comes down to opinion, knowledge, and experience. In America we know badminton and ping pong are recreational games at best and are fun to play in one's family room (ping pong) or backyard(badminton). They do have rules, strategies for winning and require skill , some athleticism, etc. But perhaps in other countries these family sports are more competitive. So therefore I figured that it provides a platform for some of the other countries to have events in which to compete they otherwise might not have. There are several events I noticed were rather obscure for Americans, and we,of course did not perform as well or even have many contestants enter. But there again, the U. S. has many contestants in major sports. To other countries some of  the other sports may seem strange, silly, or just out of reach for them.

I did not mean to ramble, but I am trying to think internationally  and not just merely like an American. Whether I find a sport to be relevant or not doesn't compare with the sheer joy of some champion fencer or ping pong player who has practiced long and hard to find a place on the medal stand! Go EVERYONE!
