I realise that neither of them are particularly good, however would still like to know which one you feel is better.

Also, if anybody owns one of these T.V's, your opinions on them would be appreciated.

  1. Hi,

for the price you are looking at, you aren't really going to get much in the way of picture quality for your money.

The 2 tv's you ask, as mentioned before, will not last you very long, if you intend to run fast moving items on them, eg, watching football, playing console games, you will get a lot of what is called noise distortion (blurring of the moving part of the image).

You need to be looking , firstly at the resolution, then the contrast ratio, then the brightness, 1080p is the best resolution available at the moment, your contrast on the 2 tv's shown is 500/1 this means there are 500 different shades from white to black per pixel, 500/1 is pretty low. the tv i'm on at the moment is 15000/1.

If this is the most you can afford, try going for a named brand which would be better quality but smaller screen.

Someone mentioned samsung earlier, these are great tv's but quite expensive. A lot of other company's use samsung panels for there tv's. LG being one of them.

I've inlcluded a few links to TV's in a similar price to what you are looking at, but which are better picture quality.

    good luck

the bottom one doesn't show you contrast or brightness details which could mean they are low, but i put it there for if you preffered a bigger tv for your budget and don't mind compromising on picture quality.

  2. i would say the second one it looks better and would fit in any room

  3. As the spec of each is almost identical, I would go for the cheapest, but check on Ebuyer.com first.

  4. It's six of one and half-a-dozen of the other, really.  As you say, neither is a particularly good make.

As long as you realise the picture, sound and build quality will be poor and neither TV will last much beyond their warranty, it's really up to you.

  5. Neither! They are both disposable, third tier or "junk" TVs. Don't waste your money. Buy name brand quality that can be adequately serviced, such as Toshiba and Sharp in this small size. If that sounds too expensive, save up more! See, http://www.hdguru.com/your-new-disposabl...

BTW, while this is an o.k. place for TV questions, you will generally get better and more responses for TV specific questions if you post in Consumer Electronics-TV rather than in Home Theater.

  6. both r the same, with a diff lable on them.

if your going for a lcd go for a samsung, they are the best quality and will last years longer then the cheaper options.
