Iverson, Kidd, or Nash?

I am not talking about who is the best PG right now, I am asking who has the best OVERALL career?

Iverson- 9 time all star, 1 time MVP, 6 time All-NBA selection, 2 time All-star MVP, Rookie of the year, 2001 NBA Finals appearance.

Kidd- 9 time all star, 6 time All-NBA selection, 9-time All-defensive selection, Co-rookie of the the year

Nash- 6 time all-star, 2 time MVP, 6 time All-NBA selection

Mine: Iverson>Kidd>Nash

  1. Kidd

  2. i would say kidd.

iverson isnt a point guard, even in philly he played sg, eric snow was their point guard.  kidd has been to the finals 2 times.  kidd also has a gold metal, he is the best defender out of that group also.  he is just as good, if not better than nash in the passing department.  ai is not a very good playmaker.

out of those 3 without going by position, i would say it is iverson though.

  3. I'm going to agree with your order.  You forgot to mention that Kidd had two Finals appearances when he was with the Nets in 2002 and 2003, first being swept by the Lakers then losing to the Spurs in 6.

The reason I'd put Iverson first is because of the three, he was/is the most feared.  He's one of those rare players that could will his team to victory.  I'd say he doesn't have that quality about him any more, but in his prime he did.

Kidd embodies everything a coach wants his PG to be plus a little extra.  In his prime, Mr. Triple Double did everything: make plays, defense, be a leader.  He was/is arguably the best true PG since Stockton.

I like Nash, he's an exciting player, but his deficiencies on defense is a big reason why he hasn't had a Finals appearance yet.  Also, the second MVP is a disputable one.  Lastly, he hasn't been a stand-out player as long as Iverson and Kidd.

  4. they all have had great careers but i think iverson because he made it to the finals and has an mvp and has two finals mvps plus playing him would just be so tough for the opposing team. kidd also made it to the finals but he wasnt as talented in terms of sscoring and passing which are what the other two are elite in. kidd has lots of triple doubles but rebounding point guards arent really that important. nash is a great passer and a great shooter who can help anybody get better. but he never did anything in the early part of his career. he is also the best player in this list now. so i say iverson, nash then kidd.

  5. if i were to choose a pg on my team based off those facts. i would choose Kidd. Kidd has done so much in his career and is a great play maker and defender. Not a big offensive pg like nash and iverson but his other skills more than make up for htat.

  6. I'd have to say Jason Kidd. I would pick Nash but he's got some more years on him to get some more achievements. Allen Iverson shouldn't count because he was 76er's Shooting guard most of his career, Eric Snow was the point guard.

  7. 1) Allen Iverson- He has played less years than Kidd and has been an all-star and all-NBA selection the same amount of times. He has far more most points than Kidd and Nash. Oh and you left out his 4 scoring titles (most in the NBA).

    2) Kidd- Best pure point guard of his career. (100 triple-doubles)

    3) Nash- He is good, but for how long. He isn't on their level.
