  1. Well, if I had to choose from that list, I would pick the P-51 Mustang.

BUT, my favorite planes are (by the way, by favorite planes are the WWII planes) the P-47 Thunderbolt, B-25 Mitchell, and the B-17!  Best planes out there, which or course made us win WWII!!!!!!  Go America!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Oh the B52 is the best out of this list by FAR. Show me another plane that's been in service for 50+ years and probably won't be totally retired for close to another 50!

  3. I love the B-29.

  4. Boeing 747-200 (SP) or 747-400 Nothing Like it !

  5. i agree with the second person...what are you trying to say here?

  6. Cirrus SR-22, G3

  7. My personal favorite is the Boeing 747-400. I plan on flying one in the near future, hopefully within 10 years.

  8. Better for what?  You're comparing apples to oranges to bananas to pineapples.

  9. f- 22

  10. Kind of like asking how long's a piece of rope.  I'm a pilot, so I look at the right plane based on application.  And you haven't specified that.  Tell us what you want to do with it, and I'll be glad to tell you my opinion.

  11. Better in what? Do you mean looks as in which looks better or which one does everyone like more? You can't really compare commercial and military Aircraft.

  12. F-16

  13. Well, the C-17, I think it is the same as the DC-3 in civilian life.  and has been in service for longer than most of us humans.  It probably did as much as many other planes, but did not get as much fame.  It was just a hard worker, giving life to the troops on the ground in many cases: Bastogn, Burma, Berlin airlift(post war), just about every island with a strip.

  14. I'll repeat - for what.  Each is a tool for a job.  F18 - sweet fighter bomber; Harrier (jumpjet) has been around for 43 years but is still a good tool for tactical support; F-16 - believe it or not is fuel efficient - for a fighter.  Sexiest bit of kit I know of in that field.  Raptor - wouldn't I love to get my hands on that for a few hours.  As for the passenger aircraft - I hate sitting in the back.  Cargo aircraft - I always felt cold in them - I don't like being cold.

P-51 - Cadillac of the skies.  The one aircraft more than any other I would love to fly.

  15. assumin gi had the money to own and fly any of these aircraft, i would pick a P-51 mustang, the best fighter of WW ll.

  16. harrier jump jet it can take off and land vertically whats cooler than that

  17. B-52 the baby has the capibility of Delivering approximately 70,000 pounds of mixed payload, both internally and on external pylons, has

Combat range exceeding 8,800 miles (7,652 nautical miles) unrefueled -- can be refueled aerially, it can fly at

High subsonic speeds up to 650 miles per hour, or Mach 0.86, and can at altitudes up to 50,000 feet (15,166.6 meters). it also has

Low-altitude flight capability, augmented by its electro-optical viewing system . it rocks!!!!

  18. the f-22 is considered to be the best fighter aircraft in the world in our daily life.

  19. None of them - The one man one fan carbon fibre death provider Harrier kicks them all - but only when flown by a British RAF pilot

  20. It would be very difficult to say which is better. Myself, I'd have to say the P-51. When I was a kid, my neighbor had been a P-51 pilot in Europe in WW II. He had lots of good combat stories. He flew many planes, but he likes the '51 the best. He said, "You didn't climb in the plane as with other planes. You strapped on a pair of wings."  I always thought that was pretty cool. He also told me, "On my very first combat mission, I destroyed a plane. Unfortunately, it was mine."  He had a tire blow out on take off and veered off the runway in to a ditch. I heard a '51 at an air show as it flew over. It sounded something like two dozen Harleys at 90 mph, with this high pitched whine of the supercharger in there too. The sound of raw power.

  21. Their all god for what they were designed for.

  22. B-2 Spirit

    .

The world most exotic and some would say beautiful (and expensive at 2 Billion a copy) aircraft.   The B-2 is a huge flying wing capable of carrying out an air strike anywhere on the globe, alone, and undetected. Bombing runs that used to require a whole squadron to accomplish are done with one airplane and a minimum number of men.

    .

    .

  23. B-29 B-52 or B707/747-400er

  24. Missing from your list is the B-1B!!  The B-1B has the largest payload capacity of all the bombers (84,000lb). Top speed is Mach 1.2 - leaves the other bombers in the dust.  Only bomber that can do a "Captain Atomic"

  25. 707

  26. Aloha from Down Unda!

The best on this list, in my opinion, is the F-117A stealth but...This list omitts my favorite, the F-15 Strike Eagle so...in spite of technical inferiority of specifications,  I'll be happy to take the F22 Raptor but the F-16 Hawk is kewl enough for lite flites too.

But heck I'm no expert & only qualified for an ultra lite paraplane!

    Best wishes~
