Which PS3 would you recommend?

Which PS3 should I buy the 80GB that is available now, the one with the Metal Gear bundle, or the new 80GB that is supposed to be released in the next several weeks?

Get the current 80GB now , because the new one will not have Backwards Compatibility.  plus it comes with MGS4

well it depends, if you want backwards compatibility to play ps1 and 2 games then get the MGS 4 bundle. if you don't care about that and also about extra memory card slots then fine get the new 80gb.

but i still think the old is the way too go. because first your getting the best ps3 you can buy plus your getting mgs 4 which is 60 dollars anyways and the extra 40 bucks is going to BC.

while the new 80gb is just a 40 gb with a bigger harddrive

Get the 80GB MGS4 bundle.  It's worth it.  It's backward compatible, it probably has more options and features than the new one will, and it's just all-around awesome.  I personally wouldn't much trust the new one coming out because it's not backward compatible, and who knows what they're going to do to the features.  Get the 80GB MGS4 bundle while you can.

Get the Metal Gear Solid bundle! You get flash card readers, 2 more USB ports, somewhat PS2 compatibility, and Super Audio CD support (like that matters).
