A Few definitions for you to look at:

Prejudices attitudes...are irrational, unjust, or intolerant dispositions towards others. They are often accompanied by stereotyping. This is the attribution of supposed characteristics of the whole group to all its individual members.

It seems most useful to us to define prejudice as failure of rationality or failure of justice or a failure of human-heartedness in an individual’s attitude toward member of an ethnic group.

An emotional, rigid attitude (a predisposition to respond to a certain stimulus in a certain way) toward a group of people.

Thinking ill of others without sufficient warrant.

An unsubstantiated pre-judgment of an individual or group, favorable or unfavorable in character, tending to action in a consonant direction.

A pattern of hostility in interpersonal relations which is directed against an entire group, or against its individual members; it fulfills a specific irrational function for its bearer.

  1. Prejudiced people are the most prejudiced.

  2. Blacks...they are now fighting with Hispanics,Asians, and Whites in most cities...and now that many of them are joining the Moslems its just going to get worse....ex:Farrakhan,Jackson,Sharpton,T... Right Rev Mr Wright,The Obamas etc..all are using religion to advance Black Nationalism..its a tip off to those of us who know what to look for

  3. If everyone will quit worrying about excuse and looking for reason not to succeed they will be just fine.  We need to all work together and try to make the world a better place.  Always remember it is NOT What your country can do for you but What can you do for your country.

  4. I would have to say it is equal. I don't think it is an issue of which side is being prejudice, it is the fact that we are.

I think that African American's have more prejudiced against Caucasians for the fact that we were so raciest in the past. (n**i, KKK, etc.) So although a lot of that has changed African American's still hold grudges.

On the other hand there are still some Caucasians that believe the old way is the right way. Which it is not. Unfortunately we don't look at it this way.

And now Hispanics think we are raciest for all the laws the United States have been passing.

So in my eyes I think that all Races are equally to blame, not just one.

  5. From my own personal experience it seems to me that blacks are more racist than whites at this time - it certainly wasn't always the case even 5 or 10 years ago, but seems to be today.

My fiance has a biracial daughter (2 years old) from a previous relationship.  Both of us are white and while we have never received anything but smiles and kind words from whites, the looks and comments that we get from black people when we're out with her are unbelievable.  She gets asked often how she can let a white man raise her child (she has a little "hood" in her, so people usually correctly assume the child is hers).

You would think that people of any race would appreciate when a man would willingly raise another man's child as his own, much less be completely colorblind and love the little girl like she deserves to be loved - I couldn't possibly love her more if she were my own daughter.  It always makes me shake my head when we get comments about the three of us because nobody ever says anything about the man that had a chance to raise this wonderful little girl and chose to walk away.

I can't speak much about any broader trends, only personal experience, but it seems to me that there isn't a real stigma attached to blacks being prejudiced against whites and as a result they are willing to voice their opinions loudly.  I'm sure there are a great many whites that have racist attitudes toward blacks, but it has become so stigmatized in our culture today that most keep it to themselves or at least behind closed doors.

  6. It's hard to say.

One thing I will say:  Prejudice and hatred are the result of our politicians, and the media.  It is our politicians and their lap dogs in media that constantly try to make a racial issue out of every possible issue.

They never fail to divide us over skin color, reporting how the white vote, or the black vote (as if we can be stereotyped) divides us.  They invent programs like Affirmative Action to create hatred and dissent.  They invent ideas like Reparations for Slavery to create hatred and resentment.

So, I can't anwser your question, but I can tell you the source of it.

  7. Just like MLK said.... But on another note, I have yet to see a black man or woman run around with a sheet on their head and go hunting for n______. Also spend some time in the forums here and all you will hear are racist comments from conservative rightys... PS I am a whitey, just saying it like it is..

  8. Read a history book. Then read the Bible. Then pray for this country.

  9. Black people.

Unfortunately, my black friends have many more hates and insecurity against whites, and are VERY VERY sensitive to the colour. Not so in Europe or other countries, but in USA, black people really dislike whites and blame the whites for all their problems...? Why is that? Even the answers here aren't intelligent response to your question or the definitions you provided.

Blacks are intolerant as a whole of any other group because they are always saying it's a race thing.

Look at Oprah--she's richer than Croesus, and all she can talk about is she has a white maid. That says volumes about her lack of emotional maturity or love of both whites and blacks.

I guarantee you that 90 percent of Obama's black supports are supporting him BECAUSE HE IS BLACK!

That shows clear intent to be PREJUDICE, according to all of the above definitions.

  10. Seems to me the bigotry has changed hands.  Even worse blacks like Rev. Jesse Jackson, Rev. Al Sharpton, Rev. Jeramiah Wright, have all made a fortune off of self induced oppression of their own people through, racism, hate whitey, and anti-Americanism.

So I'd have to say that blacks are far more racist.

  11. I get tired of race being an issue at all. People should always be judged on their Character and not the color of their skin. God put very Ethnicity on this planet and it's quite arrogant for one to think their better than the other.

  12. This is a useless question. You can't make such a determination about tens of millions of people AND it's purely subjective.

Any racial prejudice is unacceptable -there's no need to discuss degrees as if it's okay to be prejudice as long as your LESS prejudice than the other person!

  13. I think that the blacks are more prejudiced against the whites than the other way around.

  14. i would guess as a general group, blacks. some feel it is their right in response to past racial issues created by whites. and even though america as whole is much better than it has been, some continue their hatred because it is a learned attribute, black and white. some have made a big deal that 20-30 percent of americans think race is an issue in the elections but, it does not distinguish blacks from whites, after all , obama has around 90% of the black vote on average. some of those are voting strictly on race. some whites will do the same thing. racism is in every country around the world and will never be eliminated. i base this on growning up and still living in a majority black neighborhood. i have had in depth conversations with some of my friends about race but the funny thing is, in my 42 years in that neighborhood, i have never had a fight where race was the determing factor. it is the radicals that refuse to meet in the middle to solve issues, they just perpetuate it.
