Which Resident Evil novel should be read first?

I have downloaded all the Resident Evil novels but I don't know whether to start with book 0 or book 1. Book 0 was written last, so does that mean I should read it last?

  1. I do believe book 0 is the prologue...so you could read that one first but then again you could read book 1. Doesn't really matter.

  4. No offense, but the books aren't really well done.  I would just stick to the movies.

    If you want to read well done gorey books, read some Stephen King.

  5. Book 0 is a prequel to Book 1, so I would suggest reading 0 first.

  6. I had the same issue too, I think book 0 is actually book 7? I looked around online, and over and over all it says it's book 7. So maybe just ready book one first?

  8. yeah, cause maybe the story was made without book 0 yet and it would be interesting to read the whole series first then book 0 to know what happened before everything. and you'll be surprised.
