I currently have Marion Barber and Steven Jackson as my starters. I have Jason Witten as my starting Tightend.

My Reserves for these postions are: Deuce Mccalister and Brandon Jacobs.....(which runningback should I drop?)

Free Agent Tightends: Desmond Clark, Alex Smith, Chris Bakerm, Billy Miller, Eric Johnson, Lenoard Pope, and so on...(which Tightend should I pick up?)

  1. yes

  2. Those TE's are garbage.  Dropping Deuce is still not worth any of those guys.

  3. Are you in CBS Sportsline, or do you have roster restrictions that FORCE you to carry two TEs?

Don't drop anyone if you don't have to.

You can find a TE if Witten goes down, and you can find a one-week filler during Dallas' (Witten's) bye week.

Never drop a running back.  You'll need that depth, especially since at least 3 or your 4 enter the season with injury concerns.

  4. Don't drop either one. They are both good RBs, i wouldn't drop either one unless you start 2 RBs. You do not need a backup TE. Load up on RBs.

IF you start 2 TE then drop Deuce, but i wouldn't if you don't have to.

    Good Luck

  5. drop mcacalister...no question..i would pikup clark...but why are you looking for a backup tightend ..you only need him for 1 week a year??...and if you want a sleeper tightend...look at kevin boss of the giants because i dont think shockey will be playing too much this year for the g-men or any other team for that matter

  6. I would drop Duece if you had to drop someone because he splits alot of time. '

I would pick up Lenord pope, boldin and fitz are gonna be covered hard, The Qb will need someone else to dump it off to.

  7. TE is a much more available position than others, and except for maybe the top 5 TE's, there's no difference between 6 through 32. also, few people will horde TE's, so they are always available. you are better off just leaving it open during witten's bye week than picking up a replacement.

don't drop jacobs. he's probably going to have a better season than one of your starters.

also, rb's are so rare that even deuce mccallister is a worthy for a bench spot on the long odds that he might actually play. you should keep deuce until it becomes absolutely, 100% clear that he will not play this season.

  8. I definitely wouldn't drop Barber Jackson or Jacobs or even McCallister for that matter. All of those TE's you mentioned to pick up are bums. You need as much depth at the RB as possible. If you are just looking out for Wittens bye week don't sweat it because any of the scrubs you mentioned at the reserve TE may put up a big "0". Just hang on to all of the backs they are way more valuable than any backup TE. Just go w/o a TE the week Dallas has a bye. You will be glad you did so rather than picking up  a useless backup TE

  9. If you need 2 start 2 TE then drop Mccalister but if you dont then you really shouldn't drop anyone cause Witten is a really good TE

  10. Here's the deal. You don't need to drop any of those RB's. You have great depth at the position, and its essential to have great RB's. You don't need a backup tightend, so don't do anything.

That said, if you are stuck on making the move, drop Deuce McCallister. He's old, slow, and being replaced by Reggie Bush. Splitting carries won't go well, and Deuce's career is about up anyway. For a tight end, I'd get either Eric Johnson or Leonard Pope. I have a feeling the Saints are gonna breakout this year, and with most defensive attention on Colston, guys like Johnson can make big plays. Pope has a decent QB and again, attention is on the star duo of Fitzgerald and Boldin. Also, its insane to take men out of the box with Edge in the game, so Pope is in a perfect situation. Again though, your best option is to stick with what ya got.

  11. why would you drop one of those rbs to pick up a backup te?

I would forego a backup TE, keep those RB's, and see what the waiver wire has to offer if Witten gets injured or when you get to the relevant bye week.

A backup TE is dead weight and offers no trade value (unless you have 2 exceptional TE's (witten/gates/etc.) and selected the 2nd one with the intention of using him as trade bait at some point).

To the first responder: Dallas Clark is not the same as Desmond Clark.  You can see for yourself the difference between the two by searching the site to which you linked.
