Question:

Which SAT IIs?

I'm pretty much done with my sophomore year in high school now (basically a week and finals left yay!), and I'm planning on starting to study for the SAT and SAT IIs over the summer so I can take some next year, etc.

So, if I'm planning on doing pre-med (I probably am not going to major in biology though, but I want to be a doctor) what SAT IIs do you recommend? I know I'm going to take the bio one, and math I or II (which is better? I'll be taking algebra 2/trig next year, and then AP calc senior year if all goes well, so would I be able to take the math II?), but should I consider taking chem or something else too? And would it be fine to take the bio one during my junior year as long as I prepare/study (I won't be taking AP bio until senior year)?

Thanks :]

  1. Don't take them too early, or you will find yourself with some poor scores on your record. Give yourself a chance to take the courses first (spring of junior year is a good time, since you'll be taking AP tests).

Please be aware that there are no more Pre-Med majors, only Bio and related courses for undergrads -- med school comes after your undergraduate work. Make sure you're applying to places with strong bio or related coursework to prep you.

Colleges only take Math II seriously. I don't know why they even offer Math i anymore... But again, take them when you're fully prepared, not in fall! Good luck!

  2. have to take the chemistry one, medicines pretty much on chemistry..good luck <3
