Question:

Which SAT book do you recommend?

I have Barron's "How to Prepare for the SAT 2007". I haven't heard much about opinions regarding this book, so I'd like to hear some.

Is it a decent book to have, or should I try to buy a different one? If so, which one? I'm planning to take the SAT this December, and again in June.

  1. I always recommend Kaplan b/c it's the most accurate to the real SATs and I've found that Barron's actually makes the practice tests harder than the actual tests. But if you want to feel over-prepared for the SATs then Barron's should be fine. Princeton Review's also good, but not as accurate as Kaplan. Try both or even all three.

    Hope this helps.

  2. Sign up at talk.collegeconfidential.com

you can ask high scorers themselves.

Its a forum that talks about college admission, SATs, APs, ACTs etc.

    Check it out.

I suggest to try out using this book and buy the bollege board sat for their practice test because who can you trust no more than the test your gonna take

  3. barron overprepares

kaplan and mcgrawhill are rather on the easier side

(HOWEVER, i found mcgrawhill to be a lot easier to read because they incorporate BLUE ink too!)

the official collegeboard practice SAT test (the blue one)  is most accurate

... after all.. its OFFICIAL and from COLLEGEBOARD

princeton review is always good (:

      esp for sat ii's
