Question:

Which SS should I pick up?

I need a SS that can produce average and runs, I already have power. I am not worried if he can play multiple positions or not. strikeouts are negative in our league too.

The SS's that are available are Carroll, Betancourt, Drew, Peralta, Hardy, Aviles, Barnes, and Keppinger. Any suggestions?

I know Aviles is young, but in his first couple weeks he is putting up numbers, anyone think he is for real?

  1. Hello, I really don't care for any of those players. If you have a DL spot you might want to search for Tulowitski out of COL.  He has made a much quicker than normal recovery and may be sitting at the bottom of your wire list. He could start as soon Friday but might want to give him some time to get his stroke back. In the meantime pickup Drew or Barmes (also coming off DL soon)

  2. id pick up keppinger because he's going to be an everyday player.

  3. I would go with Hardy on this one. Kepp might not stay healthy all season, I think its too early for Aviles right now, the rest are average SS at best.

  4. I really do not see ANY of those options as being a long-term fix at the position.  Drew probably has the most upside but he is prone to K's.  If Christian Guzman is available in your league I would certainly pick him up and use him.  He's got not much power but he has been a monster in runs and average this year, and he rarely K's.  I guess in your situation I might go with Hardy just because he seems to be more proven to fit the needs you requested.  Most of the other guys are low average, High K's guys whom hit for more power.

  5. Carrol has been on fire. And if you say you dont need Power & K's count against you I would say he is your guy. He also has been stealing a few bases and qualifies at 2 other positions.

He is the Tribes 2B now while Barfield is hurt & Cabrera was sent down. Carrol will be their starter rest of year.

Aviles would be a good second option but he may cool off.

  6. Pick up Betancourt. He'll be consistant.

If you need help now, s***w all those guys and pick up Izturis, he's starting infront of an injured player, but he's hitting the c**p out of the ball, he's also 2b,SS,3b eligible, so he'll play.

  7. keppinger is the safest when he returns and barmes has the most upside.

select from those two and select fast before someone else does.

  8. I've been contemplating Aviles myself. I'd pick him or Keppinger, more likely Aviles.
