Which SUV/Van is best for a HUGE family

Hey, so my aunt and he husband just had quadruplets! shes more like my sister, shes only 3 years older than me. we were raised together.

anyways, our church/family/coworkers all pulled in to get them a family vehicle. We raised 85,000 dollars (more if you want to be exact but whatever) The rest of the left over money, will go to their college funds

what would be the best SUV or Van to get them. They don't know we're getting them one. Its just them 2 (mommy and daddy) and 4 little ones. but the problem is is that they have 2 double strollers. so what vehicle would actually have enough trunk space for that?

if anyone could help

that would be totally awesome and appeciated!

  1. Honda Odyssey.

We have one and it comortable seats 7 plus a rather large trunk.

    Its amazing!

  2. Pretty much any chevy SUV ( tahoe, suburban) those sort of suv's should be good

  3. GMC Acadia or Saturn Outlook

    comfortably hold 8

Ford Expedition is the biggest on the road but gets terrible mpg.

Honda Odyssey is good van but not big enough

look at the Kia Rondo for one that holds 6-7

  4. dodge van or a chevy tahoe.....

  5. well a van should work.

  6. Toyota Seqoia is nice lots of room

Volvo XC90 too is the best for safety!

I would pick the Volvo out of both.

  7. honda odyssey

  8. any fullsize suv with a big truck area

  9. I would say the Volvo XC90 is a really nice car for the Family you described! check out the website!

    hope this helped

  10. Well I would get them the most fuel efficient and most reliable ones.

A Honda Pilot gets about 18 city 24 highway

    or

A Toyota Highlander Hybrid which gets about 25 city 24 highway

  11. My husbands cousin has a Ford Excursion. They hold I think 9 people if I am not mistaken. Maybe 8. It is really nice and roomy. Tell them to check it out. Ford's are great vehicles. Beautiful too! :)

That was really sweet of the church to all pitch in and help this family. That is what it's all about. Coming together and helping eachother.

  12. A minivan like the new Toyota Sienna or the new Honda Odyssey.

I dont think any SUV would give mom and dad an easier time in putting all the carseats in the back. Plus, its harder for them to access the 3rd row because many SUVs have the 2-3-3 seating and   you would have to move one chair foward to get to the 3rd row while it is much easier to get to the 3rd row in a minivan like the 2 that i mentioned (partly because the minivans have a 2-2-3 seating format with a permanent space in the middle of the 2nd row) Also, it would be easier for the little ones to get in and get out when they get older (and gas mileage is better than most, perhaps all of the midsize and fullsize SUVs)

And, part of 3rd row on many SUVs is part of the trunk space. If you dont fold down the 3rd row, you would get about as much space as the minivans.

go with either the Toyota or the Honda minivan.

  13. I guess you need one of the biggest if not two !  Try the Expedition or Suburban, but more important than those the strollers, which can go on a top mounted luggage rack, get those Babies in seat belts and safety seats as soon as big enough, meanwhile, be careful with them and hold on to them.  My little dog took a spill last week, not in her car seat properly.  She's OK, but wondering why I did not take better care of her.

  14. HONDA oddesy i have 3 brothers. so that makes 4 kids and 2 parents. we have a nice honda oddessy :)

  15. looking at some of the answers, I like one of them thats the Volvo XC90 i also looked on that website and theres a XC60 thats nice too
