Which Sabres center ice idea do you honestly think is better?

Question

I was bored so I made a center ice layout for the HSBC Arena. The current logo and stuff annoys me because the logo only faces one way, so its upside down for half the arena. I made this one, which do you like better.

Yeah I know mine is missing a few things like the HSBC Arena writing or whatever and some stuff may be off set but its just for show. What ya think?

I do like it, but someone is going to make a crack about a buffaslug yin yang.

Then again, maybe they need their chi realigned

If you replaced the slug with the charging buffalo and crossing sabres logo it would rock.

The NHL does not allow corporate logos outside the blue lines. That would have to change. Also, most arenas write out the arena name. If you don't, the company that bought the naming rights to the arena will be quite pissed- and they paid millions.

WTF are those little geometric patterns inside the blue lines on the center? Don't know if NHL would allow those or not.

Pattern on the red line has to be "regular and distinct"- you can't just have big gaps in between the white rectangles.

Faceoff dots are a regulated pattern. Can't just put a red dot on the ice.

As for the logo in the middle of the ice, nobody cares about the fans in the arena. It's all about TV recognition. TV only shoots from one side of the ice during a regular broadcast, And your design is great for those in the arena, but it's vertical to the much larger audience on TV.

Oh, and hte center ice dot is blue, if I'm not mistaken. And you need a ref's crease.

Other then that....

Really teams used to put their logo in on two sides like that. But since TV, teams have realized that they need to make if bigger and rotate it to face the cameras for TV recognition.
