Which Saddle??

Question

Is Wintec or Caledonian saddle best for general riding and jumping? If anybody has either of these saddles I'd love to hear your opinions and reviews on them as I need to get a new saddle shortly and these are the only two brands I can get locally?

I've never heard of Caledonian. I don't have a Wintec saddle, but I don have other Wintec products which I like very much. They are very strong, easy to clean, and fit well. Their saddles appear to be well balanced. You would probably do just fine with a Wintec.

wintec definetely...im in the process of getting one! ive ridden in them a lot..very comfy, dont have to be cleaned just wiped down which is great! they look just like leather too. theres different gp ones...wintec 500 which is the one that looks like leather and wintec 2000 which is more of a suede appearence this is slightly more expensive aswell. theres also a vgc or something like that but i dont know much about them sorry. pretty much all wintecs now come with the interchangable gullet - these are really easy to change and mean you could use the same saddle on a variety of horses. the gullets are around £15 each  think the saddle comes with a medium fitted but the gullets range from narrow to x wide. then you have the option of cair of flock, cair panels almost mould to the horses back giving the saddle a really individual fit to your horse and make it a lot more comfortable for them.  iwould defientely recommend a wintec well worth the money!

I one a strubben jumping saddle, but have plenty of friends who own wintec saddles\bridles that they just love!!! I have ridden in a couple my self and they are great all around saddles!!!

Wintec. (: I had a wintec jumping saddle a while ago, and I loved it. It was very well made, good and balanced, comfy, and it held up.

i've never ridden in a caledonian but i have a wintec,

which i've had for 2 and a bit years,

it's in great shape still, & it's sooo comfortable.

everyone at my yard thinks my saddle is the most comfortable.
