Which Saint will be the lead rusher? Bush, McAllister, Steckler or Thomas?

Question

With Bush (torn left PCL) and McAllister (torn ACL in left knee) both coming back from injuries, is the door open for Thomas or Steckler to emerge?

Deuce turns 30 this season, too, but not until December.

thats the saints main problem- they dont have a main RB. this can hurt them. since reggie bush has been in college i've said he should b a WR, so move marques colston back 2 from WR 2 where his career began- TE, put bush WR, and the RB priority should b- deuce, stecker, thomas

as long as mcallister can stay healthy he will be the leading rusher but if he gets hurt then thomas is the one to watch.

That's a really good question and its what all Saints fans (me include) are wondering.  With the way that Pierre Thomas played last year, its very possible that Stecker could be the odd-man out of the equation.  Stecker played respectable last year, but Thomas was better.

Bush was handed the starting role last year and really did nothing with it.  If there was a lesson to be learned it was that Bush is not cut-out to be a #1 back in the NFL.  I think this season he'll be used in the correct role: as a slot receiver and a change of pace back.  Because of this his rushing numbers won't be spectacular, but he should perform admirably in the receiving game.

Now we come to Deuce, who is recovering from two devastating knee injuries.  Even in his current state, the starting RB job is Deuce's to lose.  Word out of camp is that he feels great, but you have to take that with a grain of salt.  Still, if you're trying to determine who will have the most yardage, you have to go with the guy starting out at #1 and the guy is Deuce.  If for some reason Deuce goes down, I'd say the yardage would be split between Thomas and Bush.
