Which Sewing Thread to Buy and Where from?... Best Quality!?

I have a Brother Sewing Machine. XL 2620 Special Edition.

I need to buy quite a lot of thread to sew with (I have quite a few different types of material, but don't want to buy different material threads for each one as im c**p at remembering whats what). Which thread is the best for most purposes & Why? Also Where can i buy it from thats not toooooo expensive.

Try Joann Fabrics, or Hobby Lobby, ask the people who work there if you cant find what you need. They normally point you in the right direction.
