I am really considering getting either Seasons, Bon Voyage, or Freetime. I already have Uni., OFB, NL, family fun, celebration, & pets.

What are the pros and cons about those 3?

  1. Let's get straight to the comparison of the three games, with Cons and Pros.

    S E A S O N S

PROS: Enjoy nice weather affects including snow and bright sunlight. Also have the option to farm and combine you own food!

CONS: It doesn't feature alot, only some different types of weather and doesn't change to much to the game; nor does it give you much new to do.

CONCL: Freetime is a nice expansion to just have through your game history, making a more realistic way of living. But if you are after a new expansion with features, that you want to get something out of, then go for something other than this.

    B O N  V O Y A G E

PROS: Have a nice addition to your life with new ways to live, and going once in a while on holiday completes the addition like in real life.

Some new objects and cool locations to visit. Plus buying vacation homes is a new way to relax in nature.

CONS: Just like in The Sims 1, it ain't that fun to go on holiday. Take a loo at this:

    - You can't build objects (at the location).

    - Your sims will be complaining about their mood.

          - You need to go all the way to the dining restaurant and order    food (which is very expensive by the way).

    - You can't find everything straight away, the toilets, a tv for fun, etc.

    - At the end you will just decide to go to the neighborhood and load again since you will have lost all your money, you will still have lost 1000 dollars for booking the flight just before the autosave.

             - 1000 dollars for booking a trip for one person.

             - 800 dollars a night per person.

             - 180 dollars per meal for every person.

CONCL: It's a nice addition, but isn't that fun if you don't like taking care of people who keep on complaining.

    F R E E T I M E

PROS: You have a nice addition of new objects and opportunities in life.

CONS: It's pretty basic, and they don't give you too much afterall.

CONCL: It's nice, but you will get bored from it pretty soon, unless you have other expansions (like in your case), it can still be a nice thing to have through your lifetime.

    So it's your choice:

    - If you like taking care of family and kids alot, then go for Bon Voyage.

    - If you want to keep on using the other expansion mainly, then it's better to go for Seasons which will be nice during your gameplay.

    - On the other hand, if you prefer doing Sports and Activities, then go for FreeTime.

    Your choice!

  2. Bon Voyage!!!

  3. I like freetime the best for activities. There are plenty of new things to do and different interactions available depending on what hobby/hobbies you develop. Seasons is cool for weather but not all that spectacular. Bon voyage is great for vacations and has one item in particular that I love (voodoo doll) but beyond that you don't spend all that much time in the vacation towns. So while their are benefits for collecting the souveniers it doesn't have that much influence on your day to day game.

The other thing to consider is that in just a few days the newest expansion pack apartment life will be released. There are plenty of new things to do with this one and has a new fairly interesting character. The witches have returned to sims.

  4. Get the IKEA edition.
