I like speed and control and i like doing jumps and grinds but i am confused on what type of ski to buy? Should i buy a good brand of skiboards or skiblades. But i also found some short twin-tip skis that are pretty small and they would be fast. But i could also buy just a pair of short skis and i dont know if that would be good. Which type would be good for speed, control and tricks?? Help me?

If you have any websites to buy the stuff that would be awsome thanks!!!

  1. Get a good all-mountain twin tip like the others said.  Look into some salomon 1080's at www.salomonfreeski.com

    they're good beginner twin tips.

  2. the answer to your question is two sided. for fast you need one ski, for jumps, rails you need another. if you think snowblades or ski boards may do it, then you really don't know what you're doing. those little things can be fun for a moment, but in a park they aren't considered more than a joke. they can't handle speed -at all. you need to consider an all mountain twin tip in perhaps a bit shorter than reccommedned. no ski is "made for control'' or every rental shop and resort would have them so all the beginners would stay in control. your skills determine your control, your speed  and your tricks. just some skis are for tricks, some for speed. demo is all I can say that I think would help you out. many people find websites to buy equipment cheap. what really sells is the graphics on the skis because you're just lookin at a picture. do your homework and research all the brands. demo what sounds good on paper then go from there. that way you spend money, maybe even a bit more, but its not a wasted purchase.

  3. here you will find great deals and along with the description on the skis you will see that there are many to choose from, Most go  weight and height to be accurate Look under ski info on the labels of the page to the right there are great sales going on right now http://snowsportblog.blogspot.com/

  4. Your mention of speed rules out Skiboards/skiblades. They don't do speed. I would have thought that twintips are exactly what you're looking for. They handle speed, jumps, rails, the whole kaboodle. Otherwise you're going to need more than one set of skis.
