  1. Go with a corn snake, the ribbon/garter snake family is really nippy and fast-moving. Corns are calmer and really pretty, too.

  2. Probably a Ball python or a corn snake would be good. They're easier to handle and more calm than a Garder snake. Plus Garder snakes are like skunks in a way. When they're distressed they emit a disgusting smelling liquid all over you. You should also check your local laws to see which snakes are legal for you to have.

  3. Rat snake or Corn snake as it is also called.  These are great beginner snakes and are easy to look after. They are constrictors but are tame and like to be handled once they are used to you.  They eat frozen mice (never feed a captive snake live food), and need a heat pad, heat lamp/bulb, vivarium, water bowl, house and log to stretch out on.  I used to have one and he lived for 7 years.  He grew to 4 and a half feet which is big for the species.  Make sure if you get a corn snake, that you get a 5 or 6 foot vivarium.  He used to love to hang around my neck and hide in my clothes if I was watching tv.  Hope you have fun with him/her.

  4. ball python, cornsnake, and kingsnakes are usually the best beginner snakes.  personally i think corns or kings make better beginner snakes because ball pythons have specific humidity requirements and ball pythons can go on long hunger strikes that freak out new snake owners.

  5. I know

    Get a worm.

When you cut it in half it still lives plus you'll have 2.

  6. Rattle snake..........Good to eat i've heard!

  7. Ribbon and garter snakes are good. They are easy to keep and usually good eaters. But until it tames down, it will "stink" you when you pick it up by emptying nasty stuff from it's cloaca...just a head's up, but they tame down pretty quickly and make nice pets...so pretty too.
